This software allows you to import and export images by dragging and dropping them from any location on the iPad. You can make your images even more spectacular and fully optimized for iPad OS. This means you can add raster brush textures to your illustrations, edit individual pixels on icons, add masks and grain to vector images, and wrap and crop pixel layers.

With just one click, you can switch from vector to raster workspace and take advantage of its full functionality. Some specialty papers, such as watercolor papers, Japanese craft papers, and a variety of smooth and toothed drawing and watercolor papers (typically Canson) are also locally available.Affinity Designer engine is very fast and it is designed to handle huge documents, so you can add all the small details you need without compromising performance. Locally Available Supplies: Most basic supplies for painting in oils, acrylics, watercolors, pastels and related mediums can be found at local art supply shops within 5-15 minutes walk from Green Olive Arts. We also now have gelli plates for monoprint experimentation.
Printmaking: We have a new etching press with a 40cm x 80cm working space and 10cm rollers along with a small supply of inks, brayers, plates, and other related tools. We also have various apartment provisions for those renting furnished apartments where the kitchen/bedroom/bathroom is lacking some detail or a fan/heater would be helpful. Kitchen/Laundry: A basic kitchen with dining space for 10 guests and modern laundry machine are available for guest use.

WIFI: With pass code access, our artists will have full access to full time VPN studio bandwidth via Wifi. This space also holds a computer workstation with desktop computer, scanner, printer and webcam set-up. Writing desks: For those who prefer to sit and draw or write, we have smaller tables and desks available so you can park in the sun or shade.Ĭommon Work Areas In keeping with our value of collaborative use of shared materials, all artists will have access to shared cutting mats, basic artist tools, woodworking bench and tools, hot-glue and other adhesives, ‘leftover’ paints and other supplies. Some of these can be adjusted to various heights and to a tilted drawing table configuration. Tables: For those who would prefer to work horizontally, we have sturdy tables and workbenches that can be positioned in any of the studios. We also have pochade boxes and field easels that can be taken out for plein air outings. It can also be configured with seating and a small performance area for acoustic music, poetry, presentation and other live events. This room also functions as exhibition space with a versatile hanging system and LED lighting. Multi-Purpose Room: This relatively large (30 m²/100 ft²) space is ideal for teaching classes and workshops with broad spectrum fluorescent lighting, multiple power outlets, bright sunny windows, and big tables. They have lockable doors and typically have a large window or balcony for sunlight and air. Private spaces: These are large studio spaces dedicated to one artist each. These rooms can be closed with a door to the rest of the studio and typically have large windows or balconies for sunlight and air. Each artist can set up his/her space with our furniture, including tables, easels and storage. Shared spaces: These are large studio spaces shared by 2 or 3 artists each with individual work areas each measuring 7-15 square meters. We aim to keep our studio facilities in tip-top shape with all the basic tools and supplies in place for whatever work our guest artists are into.
